Fundraising for Strathblane Primary School
Welcome to the Strathblane Primary and Nursery Fundraisers page!
Who are we and what do we do? Well, we are a group of mums (and occasionally dads) who arrange fundraising events for the school. Why? Numerous extra curricular activities, facilities upgrades and other purchases are not funded by Stirling council. For example, over the years the funds raised have been used for new sports equipment, class parties and to fund the grounds committee. Additionally we fund 100% of travel costs when the children represent the school (for example sports events), and 50% of costs otherwise (class outings etc). You will see below that the school want to upgrade their ICT equipment and this is the main item we want to raise money for this year.
Through the school year we organise the Christmas and Summer fairs, Halloween and summer discos, own clothes days and some other events. This year we successfully held our first ever Pumpkin day and in February will host an Art Show. We also want to organise some adult only events like a Pamper evening and a comedy night.
We do ask all parents to support us however you can, through donations, volunteering and of course attending our events. Of course, we can never have enough help, so if you are interested in helping us out, for one event or more please get in touch. We are always on the look out for ways to cut costs, so if you are able to donate a raffle prize, design and print flyers or if you have a particular skill we could put to good use, we would love to hear from you!
Ways to Fundraise

RAG BAG
Did you know that you can raise vital funds for the school by having a good clear out of clothing, shoes and bedding? Every time that the clothing bin in the school playground is emptied, the school recieves £94. Thank you to all those who have donated. The clothes are passed on to those that need them. Clothes that are stained or torn are used to make mattresses so all clothing can be used.
